Requirements for Entry into Canada

In order to be admitted as an international student to Canada, the candidate must:

• Possess a valid student ID or a letter of introduction confirming their acceptance for a student ID
• To be enrolled in a particular educational institution.

The Following Documents Required for International Students to Enter Canada

Below mentioned list of papers is a requirement for all foreign students coming to Canada to study:

• Genuine passport
• A valid visa & legitimate study permit or letter of introduction
• A copy of the school's letter of acceptance
• Evidence of finances needed to support the stay in Canada
• Copy of the CAQ
• A certified medical report for immigration.

Prior to your Trip

The Covid-19 epidemic, along with other factors has led to significant modifications in travel laws throughout most of the world including in Canada during the past few years. Most recently, the Canadian Government declares that as of October 1, 2022, all travel restrictions and other pandemic related precautions would be lifted. However, keep in mind that laws could alter once more without much warning, so up until your departure, make sure to verify all of the pertinent sources of information.

Other Recommended Things to Carry with You

Never check your bags with critical documents in them; always keep them on you. Any missing or inaccurate information on your application or letters of recommendation may end up in your refusal to enter Canada. In addition, the following items are advised for travellers to Canada;

• A mask pls crosscheck with your airline whether a mask is essential while flying.
• National ID Card or other form of identification from your home country.
• Documentation proving you have health insurance that will cover you once you get to Canada.
• Information on where you wish to reside in Canada, like lodging address and any prescription drugs you require.
• Your electronic gadgets & chargers
• Suitable attire for the season
• If you intend to drive in BC, your driver's licence and insurance records.
• Small home comforts
• Good periodicals, novels, and snacks for the flight.

Entry into Canada

Gather all your needed documents to be presented to a Border Service Officer at Port of entry so they can ask you queries on your itinerary and plan to stay in Canada with such details. We suggest giving them proper replies in a straightforward way, succinct and sincerely. Upon arrival, if you are given a study permission and or co-op work permit, rapidly verify that the information appears to be accurate.
